My first writing job was at an advertising agency where I gained experience writing radio ads, television commercials and print copy. I consider copywriting my creative roots and have freelanced for NY and LA-based agencies. I have extensive experience in headlines, tags, newsletters, blogging, corporate correspondence, marketing and concept creation. I've also done some grant writing for not-for-profits.
Pocket Frenz®
Inspired by kids (mine) who suffer from separation and social anxiety, I co-designed a now patented children's clothing line -- with imaginative gameplay built into the pockets. Took the line from hand sketch to mass market, including product design, sales, promotions, marketing and licensing. Pocket Frenz® has been sold nationwide at Kohls, Target, Amazon and has been featured on television shows such as Good Morning America, Shark Tank and CNBC's Crowd Rules.
WHBPAC
As a freelancer for one of America's most successful independent not-for-profit theaters, The West Hampton Beach Performing Arts Center, I was tasked with the creation of newsletters, corporate correspondence, speeches, marketing and artist relations. Also, created fund raising materials and helped with grant writing and community outreach.
Final Fight
While freelancing for LA-based Petrol Advertising, wrote tag-lines and marketing materials for video game launches, including Final Fight.
Nacho Libre
Another project under the Petrol Advertising banner, wrote headlines and tag copy for the video/streaming release of the Jack Black comedy, "Nacho Libre."
Team America
Another Petrol project: I wrote tags and headlines for the release of "Team America," from the creators of South Park. Particularly proud of the headlines, "Putting the F Back in Freedom" and "The F Bomb Drops May 5th!"
Doom
Wrote freelance headlines and tags for the release of "Doom." (Afraid? I was.)
My Name Is Earl
Created headlines and tags for pre-existing visuals on the DVD release of multiple seasons of "My Name is Earl," starring Jason Lee.
The Honeymooners
Worked with art directors to create versatile copy for multiple versions of "The Honeymooners" poster and marketing campaigns.
Lucky Louie
Freelance copywriting for HBO's launch of the darkest sit-com ever created, "Lucky Louie."
Yours, Mine and Ours
Wrote headlines and tags for the release of "Yours, Mine and Ours," starring Rene Russo and Dennis Quaid.
Scrabble
Worked in various capacities for the National Scrabble Association (yes, that's a real thing). Wrote marketing copy, newsletters and correspondence for Scrabble Players worldwide. Coordinated with Scrabble's parent company, Hasbro, and helped produce events like the World Scrabble Championships and the National School Scrabble program.
Billy Joel Live At Deep Hollow Ranch Montauk
Wrote marketing copy and advertising material for Billy Joel's East End charity concert. Also, created introductory copy for performers and fund raising speeches.

Created radio spots and a broader comedic marketing campaign for this large auto retail chain.

Wrote radio spots for this environmentally-conscious fuel company as it transitioned to bio fuel.
